Working simultaneously with caregivers and early childhood educators, TrainingGrounds provides a consistent message about the importance of the first five years of life and how everyone can take ownership in improving early childhood outcomes. WE PLAY The We Play Center is a FREE play space for children birth-three years with a parent or caregiver. Through child-led play, we help develop social-emotional, cognitive and language skills while serving as a resource for parents and caregivers. The We PLAY Center is located at 2200 Lafitte Ave in the Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center. WE COACH We provide support, guidance, and enrichment for parents and caregivers through workshops, coaching and mentoring. All workshops are delivered at the We PLAY Center and we provide child care for children under the age of 4. WE TEACH We conduct hands-on professional development workshops for educators that focus on the "why" and the "science" behind the standards they are being asked to teach. WE CONNECT Connecting families with young children to coordinated support, services and education.
