GiVE NOLA DAY

The New Neighbor Project

About this Organization

WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU ARE HERE TO LEARN ABOUT US! We have the pleasure of serving over 2500 refugees and immigrants from ages 16-78 from more than 10 zip codes and 6 parishes in the New Orleans area. We provide ESL classes, Citizenship classes, Hiset prep and Spanish Classes with the assistance of over 80+ volunteers. We hope to provide a sense of community and unity among the diverse population of New Orleans as well as assistance with literacy, English and employment. We are now partners with the City of New Orleans, New Orleans Public Library, Jefferson Parish Public Library, St. Tammany Public Library, St. John the Baptist libraries, St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, Catholic Charities of New Orleans, LSU, Tulane and Loyola University, Orleans Parish Correctional Facility and Jefferson Parish Corrections. Help us give our students resources, community and a sense of security during these times! Your donation DIRECTLY goes to books, coordination efforts and supplies for students to learn English, literacy, Citizenship and job skills.
