Global Maritime Ministries is celebrating 60 years of ministry to the local port community! We operate ministry centers in the Port of New Orleans and the Port of South Louisiana. Our services are provided free of charge to seafarers, dock workers, security, Harbor Police, and port administration. We minister to seafarers from nearly 100 countries annually and we have welcomed seafarers from 75% of the world's countries over the years. Our centers provide seafarers who are far from home a safe haven away from the ship to relax, contact family, speak with a chaplain, and receive prayer and encouragement. Bibles and devotional materials in 75 languages are available free of charge. Free internet, money-wiring, mail service, and recreation are available at both ministry centers. Our ministry also provides free transportation for crews from their ships to go shopping and visit our ministry centers. Chaplains visit ships daily to meet seafarers and make them aware of our services and centers.
