The Incubator is rooted in arts, education, and sustainability. As such the aim of the nonprofit is working with culture bearers and youth to grow gardens, green spaces, and environmentally focused public art that gives back to the community. Through the Galvez Garden we offer community compost collection weekly while advancing nutritional literacy and food security through our organic vegetable garden. Educational Programming: Our early education program, Budding Artists, provides digestible STEAM information for caregivers, ready made project-based tactile learning activities, and nature inspired art activities that focus on early literacy. The nonprofit also provides Junior Master Gardeners programming at our community garden. We offer workshops to the community that cover a wide range of topics including sustainable urban agriculture for gardeners and beginning farmers, to arts and culture based workshops, like journaling and using natural materials to dye fabric. Community Building & Beautification Projects: In addition to maintaining Galvez Garden we work with schools and local municipalities to create additional sustainable green spaces in our community.
