NKFL provides vital patient and community services, conducts extensive public and professional education, advocates for patients through legislative action and supports kidney research to identify new treatments. NKFL's commitment is to make a tangible difference in the lives of ALL kidney patients. We envision a future where optimal kidney health is attainable for ALL patients, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity and socio-economic status. Kidney health has not been fair for everyone, KIDNEY EQUITY FOR ALL is a movement led by NKFL and partners to integrate kidney care and the needs of ALL kidney patients into the public consciousness. We are doing this by dismantling structural racism in the healthcare system, accelerating innovation and ensuring access to quality healthcare. Our programs and services free community-based kidney health screenings; funding local research; "Ride with Kenny" a program providing transportation to/from dialysis; public health education at health fairs; professional education for physicians and other healthcare professionals; resources for information about kidney disease and organ donation; the promotion of living organ donation.
