Magnolia Community Services, Inc

About this Organization

Since 1935, Magnolia Community Services has provided an array of supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including autism, Down Syndrome, and cerebral palsy. For 90 years, Magnolia Community Services has led the way for people living with IDD by providing housing, medical and behvaioral care, supported employment, wellness, recreational programs, and day activities on campus and in the community. Each day, we meet our clients' physical, social, and emotional needs while upholding their human dignity and right to community inclusion ensuring that they live their best lives.

The Magnolia Art program and Magnolia Artworx, our community store to feature client artwork , are ways for our clients, regardless of ability, to express themselves and give them a sense of accomplishment. Clients engage in projects that match their abilities from collaborative painting to free style creations that reflect their emotions. Clients learn about style, color and techniques through studying other artists and observing their instructors. Funds raised from GiveNOLA will be dedicated to the Art program and the launch of Magnolia Artworx in the Fall of 2025.
