At LASI (aka the besties of the Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter), we've got one mission: Keeping pets with their Families. We don't discriminate, whether they're shelter sweethearts or furry friends in their own homes facing tough times. We're here to lend a paw when life gets tough for pet owners. From vet care to chow, training, surgeries, and spay/neuter, we're determined to help in any way we can. Even the tiniest gestures can make a huge impact on a pet's life. But, we can't do it alone. Your donation could be the game-changer that keeps us on track. In 2024, we helped 500 pets in Lafourche Parish, but the requests for help keep pouring in. We gave out $18,000 in financial aid, and we're not stopping there! LASI has big plans for a 2 day low cost Spay/Neuter clinic this Spring. This event will offer affordable surgery for 200 pet owners. Another community project consists of 4-5 Microchip Scanning Stations throughout the parish. This tool will help reunite lost pets with their families.
