GiVE NOLA DAY

Giving Hope Foundation

About this Organization

Giving Hope supports vulnerable families and communities experiencing hunger, poverty, addiction, and social isolation in the Greater New Orleans area. Working through a network of nonprofit, business, and community partners, we meet immediate needs - such as food, clothing, and essential items - and support pathways to stability through education, workforce development, and youth serving programs. Core programs and partnerships include: The Giving Hope Food Pantry: Reaches food insecure youth, seniors, and families in Orleans and Jefferson parishes through weekly food distributions. Close to 40,000 people receive over $14.5 million in food donations annually and 1,100 senior citizens receive hot meals daily. The Giving Hope Community Center: Offers education, workforce development, sports and youth programming for 1,000 residents in the Ninth Ward. The site is also home to a DePaul Clinic and Kids of Excellence, an early childhood education nonprofit. Women of Hope Unite: A network of women supporting women and children in the Greater Metro Area. Giving Hope Retreat: The New Orleans Missions' one-year rescue. recovery, and rehabilitation discipleship initiative.
