Giving Hope Foundation
About this Organization
Giving Hope supports vulnerable families and communities experiencing hunger, poverty, addiction, and social isolation in the Greater New Orleans area. Working through a network of nonprofit, business, and community partners, we meet immediate needs - such as food, clothing, and essential items - and support pathways to stability through education, workforce development, and youth serving programs.
Core programs and partnerships include:
The Giving Hope Food Pantry: Reaches food insecure youth, seniors, and families in Orleans and Jefferson parishes through weekly food distributions. Close to 40,000 people receive over $14.5 million in food donations annually and 1,100 senior citizens receive hot meals daily.
The Giving Hope Community Center: Offers education, workforce development, sports and youth programming for 1,000 residents in the Ninth Ward. The site is also home to a DePaul Clinic and Kids of Excellence, an early childhood education nonprofit.
Women of Hope Unite: A network of women supporting women and children in the Greater Metro Area.
Giving Hope Retreat: The New Orleans Missions' one-year rescue. recovery, and rehabilitation discipleship initiative.
