While not everyone can foster a child, we believe everyone can support the foster care community. Since 2013, Crossroads' foster families have loved and cared for over 850 children! Our amazing community of foster parents and generous donors helps make these connections possible for Louisiana's most vulnerable kids. Last year, 109 children were loved and cared for by Crossroads' foster families. Foster families laugh, cry, cheer, mourn, and advocate for the children and families they serve. They encourage and support birth parents who overcome personal challenges to be reunited with their children. They adopt children who need forever families. A significant long-term measurement of our program is the placement stability of children placed with foster families recruited and supported by Crossroads. On average, 94% of children placed within Crossroads' families experience placement stability compared to only 66% of children statewide who experience placement stability (i.e. not "bouncing from home to home"). When Crossroads equips families to navigate the ups and downs of foster care, kids receive the stability they need to heal and thrive!
