BTLA delivers direct services and whole-family interventions that help children heal, families stabilize, and communities grow stronger. Our programs provide counseling, case management, parenting education, crisis support, vocational training, and job placement assistance-meeting families where they are with the tools they need to succeed.

Our Short-Term Shelter and Family Homes Program offer safe, structured care for youth who cannot remain at home due to abuse, neglect, or delinquency. While youth receive therapeutic support and life skills training, we work closely with families to overcome barriers, repair relationships, and prepare for reunification whenever possible.

BTLA's community-based programs extend our reach beyond residential care-offering early childhood education through Early Head Start, caregiver coaching through Common Sense Parenting, and wraparound support through In-Home Family Services and Care Coordination. Launched in 2022, Successful Futures helps young adults aging out of foster care and struggling caregivers pursue employment, independence, and long-term stability.

In 2024, we impacted nearly 1,000 youth and 500 families across Louisiana.
