Let's meet the moment for youth!

We're living in a moment when too many teens feel disconnected, unsafe, and unseen. Rising mental health challenges and social isolation are taking a toll. Be Loud creates spaces where youth feel heard, confident, and connected. Research shows that when young people have the agency to speak out on issues impacting their lives, it protects their mental health.

Be Loud was founded in 2019 by two teachers who saw their students disengaging from traditional schoolwork and looking for a space where they could be themselves. What started as a student-led radio station has grown into a city-wide community where teens, especially Black youth, can write, interview, and produce stories that reflect their experiences.

-Scholarships to our summer camp--A place for kids from all backgrounds to speak up.
-The launch of Meet The Moment--A new youth-led podcast that centers powerful interviews where youth and community leaders explore current events with honesty. Let's provide the platform for youth to speak out.

While many systems ask young people to be quiet, we are asking them to BE LOUD.
