Anna's Place NOLA is a year-round youth program that takes a holistic, whole child approach to disrupting cycles of poverty and violence in New Orleans. We aim to be a place of peace, a second home where children realize their potential, and a place where families and the community are nurtured so that poverty and violence no longer make their home among us. In addition to youth and community programs, we also have a food pantry and homeless outreach programs. OUR PROGRAM OFFERS: - A safe, welcoming, and inclusive facility - Assessment of each student's academic proficiency - Social, emotional and life skills training - Arts education to stimulate creativity - Job readiness, career preparation and financial literacy - College, trade school and private/specialty school preparation - Exposure to new experiences through field trips to college campuses, science labs, art museums, orchestral performances and outdoor education - African-American cultural education and racial-ethnic socialization - A healthy, hot meal during every session - Transportation to the program for students who need it
