Scott's Wish: Compassion for People & Pets Scott's Wish, a volunteer-led nonprofit founded in 2008 in memory of Scott Lala, provides critical support to both seriously ill individuals and homeless pets. With no funds spent on salaries or office space, nearly every dollar raised directly aids those in need across Louisiana and beyond. Compassionate Care: Supporting Critically Ill Individuals Through partnerships with social workers at hospitals and cancer centers, Scott's Wish assists individuals facing life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, ALS, and those awaiting organ transplants. Many patients struggle with overwhelming medical costs, housing, utilities, and transportation. By working with social workers, we identify those in financial crisis and provide direct support to ease their burden, offering hope and relief during their toughest times. Compassionate Paws: Rescuing and Rehabilitating Pets Scott's Wish extends its mission to vulnerable animals through its Compassionate Paws program.
