GiVE NOLA DAY

Boy Scouts of America

About this Organization

As our world becomes ever more connected and accessible, young people are facing complex choices earlier in life. As parents, mentors, and community members we want to make sure that our children are equipped to navigate the world, be successful, and make positive contributions to the community. Scouting builds character and confidence, two essential factors that help young people make the right choices no matter the situation. Kids who participate in activities that build confidence are more likely to stick to their values when tested by difficult decisions. In Scouting, we call our activities things like camping, aquatics, and merit badges. But these activities actually are leadership training, confidence building, and life experience. The Southeast Louisiana Council provides the infrastructure that supports more than 160 local Scouting units. Including Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, Sea Scout Ships, and Explorer Posts. We serve more than 4,500 young people from ages 5 to 20 who are supported by more than 1,000 adult volunteers. Your support, no matter the amount, adds up to a real impact in the lives of our Scouts giving them opportunities to better them
