We have also made it our mission to help St. Tammany Parish & surrounding Parishes meet & maintain No Kill status in our public intake shelters. We must also be a voice for the voiceless by reporting animal cruelty, advocating for animal welfare, fighting for stronger cruelty laws and strict enforcement of these laws. We will remain unafraid and unwavering in doing what it takes, meeting with parish officials, sheriff departments, shelter managers, and educating the community to accomplish this goal. Our hearts break in a million pieces every time we take in a "thrown away" dog, but every time one by one they find their forever homes, our hearts are made whole once again. Any funds applied for or received would be used to continue our efforts in rescue, to cover medical expenses and to fund adoption, foster and heart worm prevention programs. A primary focus is also on spay/neuter, community outreach and education programs to prevent pups from being born into these terrible situations in the first place. The needs are endless, but so is our passion and commitment to saving as many of these amazing and deserving souls as we can.
