Justice & Accountability Center of Louisiana
About this Organization
We at the Justice & Accountability Center of Louisiana (JAC) are reaching out to share the impactful journey we've embarked upon, fueled by your unwavering support. Our commitment to dismantling the systemic barriers that incarcerate poverty and stifle the potential of many Louisianans remains steadfast. The reality in Louisiana, with over 1,000 collateral consequences of incarceration and legal system contact, paints a grim picture of a system that criminalizes poverty and undermines societal progress. Our vision is clear: a future where the response to poverty and social issues is not incarceration, but rather evidence-based, comprehensive strategies that uplift and heal.
