We are a locally run and funded, independent youth program affiliated with the international First Tee network. We have served the New Orleans metro region since 2004, with our reach expanding each year. In 2022 we were able to offer after-school and summer classes to nearly 1,000 students. We also partner with local schools and community centers to train instructors in our unique curriculum which uses golf as a medium for teaching character values like perseverance, patience, and integrity. Our program is for children ages 5-18. We build a relationship to sport that is unique to each individual child: casual weekend players and competitive tournament players are equally welcome at First Tee. Our goal is to help kids build a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle that will bring them success and satisfaction as they grow into adulthood. As an affiliate of the First Tee network, we are also able to connect teenage participants to national opportunities like leadership summits, PGA-connected golf events, and college scholarships.
