Diversitea Diva has been mentoring young women in NOLA since 2012, reaching over 1,000 through Tea Talk events. These events provide advice on career challenges, college applications, internships, elevator pitches, interviews, generational gaps, and budgeting. With sponsor support, they've awarded scholarships and internships, aiding students with materials, housing, and travel for school programs. Interns gain professional development and real-life work experience. Diversitea Diva creates a mentor pipeline: established mentors guide college-aged mentees, who then assist high school and elementary-aged mentees. This approach aims to elevate communities and empower young women to confidently enter the workforce. The organization believes in "lifting as we climb" and plans to use funds to expand opportunities for mentees. By fostering a supportive network, Diversitea Diva ensures that each generation of young women is better prepared and more confident to face the professional world, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of local and larger communities.
